Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX) GigaPOP

Overview

The MAX Research Initiatives are intended to identify emerging trends and technologies that will be required to deliver world class and leading edge services to the MAX regional insitutions. MAX acts as a catalyst to build intra- and inter-regional collaborations to acquire funding and develop these technologies from concept to robust and reliable service capabilities.

Contributions to DRAGON

MAX is one of the leading organizations contributing to the DRAGON project by providing network, systems and software engineering support. Jerry Sobieski, Director of Research, is one of the three principal investigators (PIs) on the DRAGON project. Chris Tracy, Systems Engineer, and Fiona Leung, Systems Programmer, both support the DRAGON project.
